Every hero needs a sidekick.

Your next customers are finding brands through AI. Are they finding yours?

Sidekicks is a Shopify marketing agency for DTC brands doing $1M to $5M. Where buyers look keeps moving, and AI answers are the newest one rather than the last. Keeping up with that is our job, not one more thing on yours.

We build and run one connected system across search, content, paid, email, and the site, so getting found and getting bought stop being two different vendors' problems. Tell us which part is on fire and we can start there.

Found, then converted

Getting found is half of it

Someone asks ChatGPT for a recommendation in your category. Or they search for it, or they see you on Instagram, or a friend sends a link. However they got there, they land on your site knowing almost nothing about you, and you get about one screen to change that.

Before they land
Getting found

Search, AI answers, social, and the link a friend sends. Four ways in, and the stores we open are usually strong in one of them and invisible in the other three.

After they land
Converting them

The site has to load, the product page has to answer the question they showed up with, and the email has to reach them before they forget the tab was ever open.

If you are getting found and they are bouncing on the product page, the product page is the cheaper fix, and that is what we would tell you to start with. It is also why we do not sell the finding and the converting separately. At your size they are the same job.

If you have already paid someone for a piece of this and it turned up as a slide deck, that is most of the founders we work with. Take this page slowly. We would.

One team

What we handle

Full list of what we run

We run the search work that gets you found, which now includes showing up when someone asks ChatGPT what to buy in your category. We also run the ads on Meta and Google, the email and SMS in Klaviyo, the content, and the site itself.

01
Search

Including the answers buyers get from ChatGPT.

02
Paid

Meta and Google, run against your margin math.

03
Email and SMS

In your Klaviyo, flows and campaigns both.

04
Content

Photo, video, and the pages that answer questions.

05
The site

Speed, product pages, and the conversion work.

You do not have to pick from a menu. Most brands need four of those five and the mix shifts through the year, so we move scope with the quarter rather than freezing it into a package. Tell us what changed and we re-cut it.

One team, one report at the end of the month, and one person to ask when a number looks wrong. That is Jeremy, and he answers.

Where to start

Start with whatever is on fire

Most brands do not hand over all of it on day one and we would not expect you to. If one thing is urgent, we can start there and leave the rest alone.

Email is a small share of your revenue and nobody has touched the flows since launch. Very normal, and the quickest thing on this list to fix.

We start inside Klaviyo, switch on the flows nobody built, and rewrite the ones that shipped with the store.

If it is several at once, that is when the full retainer earns its keep. We will tell you which one you are looking at on the call, and we are fine either way.

How it runs

The first 90 days, & every month after

Week one

We get into Shopify, Klaviyo, and the ad accounts and pull the real numbers. Something small also ships that week, usually a flow nobody switched on or a page nobody fixed.

Days 30 to 60

The build. New flows, new creative, the site fixes. A month is too short to move any of that honestly, so we would rather show you what shipped than a number that has not settled yet.

Day 90

Enough data to say what moved and what did not. The first conversation where the plan changes because of numbers instead of instinct.

Every month

Work ships weekly. A shared channel with us for the day to day, so you are not saving up questions, and a call every month to go through the numbers together.

We also argue about the work internally before you see it. Our team pressure-tests campaigns against the margin math first, which means anything we bring you has already survived someone on our side trying to talk us out of it.

Pricing

What it costs

Setup one time
$2,000 to $3,250
one time, scope dependent

Depending on how much has to be rebuilt before anything can run.

Retainer monthly
From $1,800
a month, scope dependent

Depending on scope. No markup on ad spend and no percentage of revenue.

If you are above $5M or running more than one brand, the numbers on this page do not apply. Send us the details and we can scope it properly.

Engagements run six months minimum, and here is the math rather than the sales version. Audit and setup take the first 30 days, building runs through day 60, and day 90 is the first honest read on what worked. A three month engagement would end right at the point where you started learning something. Six months gets you through the build and then through a quarter of acting on what it taught you. Our setup work is also front-loaded, so a shorter term means we carry that cost and you leave before it pays off.

The cheat code

How we prove it before you pay anything

The cheat code is free and it is the point of this page. We audit your store, your email, and your ads, and Jimmy runs it himself rather than handing it to a contractor. It comes back inside two business days, then we get on a call and go through the three things we would fix first and what each one is worth.

If you take that list to someone else, or run it yourself, that is a fine outcome. You know more than you did and it cost you nothing.

It stays yours

Everything we build lives in your accounts. You add us as users and you remove us the same way. If this ends there is nothing to migrate, because nothing was ever ours.

What does a Shopify marketing agency cost?

One channel starts at $1,800 a month. A connected program across channels starts at $3,500. Channel setup runs $2,000 to $3,250 depending on the channel, and it is a one-time fee. A new Shopify build starts at $7,500 and is quoted separately. There is no markup on ad spend and no percentage of revenue. Full pricing is published on the pricing page.

Why six months?

Because a month is too short to move anything and 90 days is the first point where the data says something real. Audit and setup take the first 30 days, building runs through day 60, and day 90 is the first honest read. A three month engagement would end right when you started learning something. The other half of the answer is that our setup work is front-loaded, so a shorter term means we carry that cost and you leave before it pays off.

Will you push us to increase ad spend?

We do not take a percentage of your ad spend, so we do not earn more every time your budget goes up. Before we recommend spending more we ask what your contribution margin is, meaning what is left from a sale after product cost, shipping, and payment fees. Adding spend at 22 percent margin is a different decision than at 55 percent, and the recommendation changes with it.

Do I have to hand over all of my marketing?

You do not have to. Plenty of brands start with one thing, usually email or the site, because that is what is urgent and because it is a smaller commitment to a team they just met. If it goes well we talk about the rest. Either way you got the one thing fixed.

Who will I actually work with?

The same two people for the whole engagement. Jeremy runs the relationship and the day to day. Jimmy runs the strategy and checks the work before it goes out. Specialists come in depending on what is in scope, and you will know their names.

Who owns the accounts if we stop working together?

You do, in every case. We build inside your Shopify, your Klaviyo, your Meta, and your Google Ads. You add us as users and you remove us the same way. There is nothing to migrate at the end because nothing was ever hosted with us.

How long before I see results?

Something ships in week one, and reporting gets fixed inside the first two weeks so the numbers you look at are trustworthy before anything else changes. Email usually moves inside 30 to 45 days, because flows start running the day they go live. Paid needs a creative testing cycle. Search takes longer, and we give you a real timeline after the audit rather than a number now.

My store is under $1M. Is this a fit?

A retainer usually is not, and we will say that on the call rather than sell you one. Take the free cheat code instead. You get the audit and the call, and if the list is something you can run yourself, run it.
